Hooda Math is intended to provide fun and educational resources for kids and teens to use under the guidance of their parents and teachers. As required by The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"), we provide this privacy policy to inform parents and legal guardians about our privacy practices on our site, www.hoodamath.com.

Advertising and Analytics Partners

On our website, HoodaMath.com only works with Google AdSense for advertising and Google Analytics for usage data. We have specifically configured both services to comply with COPPA.

Google AdSense on Hooda Math does not use cookies for behavioral targeting and does not collect personally identifiable information. Only contextual ads are shown, meaning ads are based on the content of the page-not the user.
Google Analytics is used in a privacy-safe way that aggregates data to help us understand things like how many users visit our website, which games are popular, and the general locations of users (e.g., by country or city). No personal data is collected or tracked.

Children's Privacy Guidelines

We care about children and understand that they have special privacy needs. Therefore, we have adopted the following practices:

We do not collect, use, or distribute to third parties any personally identifiable information.
We have disabled all behavioral advertising and data tracking features in our ad and analytics services.
Our entire site is designed to be used under the guidance of parents or teachers.

Online Multiplayer Games (Hooda's Laser Tag)

Some of our games, like Hooda's Laser Tag, are played online with other players. These games are built to the same child-safety standard as the rest of Hooda Math:

No accounts and no chat. Player names are generated automatically from three kid-safe words (like "Iron Frost Frog"); nobody can type their own name or send messages.
Session-only gameplay data. While a match is running, gameplay information (such as player positions, tags, and hearts) is exchanged in real time so everyone sees the same game. This data exists only to run the match and is discarded when the match ends.
Connection addresses are used transiently, only to deliver the game connection and protect our servers from abuse. They are not stored with gameplay data and are never linked to any individual.
Anonymous math progress. The game keeps a random anonymous ID on your device so it can show a progress report (how many multiplication questions were answered and answered correctly each day). This ID contains no personal information, is not connected to a name or account, and the "All Players" totals are aggregate counts only.

Our Mobile Apps

Our apps, including Hooda Math Mobile and the Hooda's Laser Tag apps for iOS and Android, follow the same practices as our website:

Our apps do not collect personal information and have no accounts or sign-in. Game progress (such as player names, crowns, and math stats) is stored on your device.
The Hooda's Laser Tag apps show optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob, configured for child-directed treatment: ads are non-personalized, restricted to G-rated content, and the apps do not use the advertising ID.
Hooda Math Mobile counts which games are opened so we can see which games are most popular. These are simple aggregate tallies with no identifiers; they are not connected to any individual player and contain no personal information.
When Hooda's Laser Tag is played online in the app, the multiplayer practices above apply. In offline mode, the game sends nothing at all.
