Chess 2026 Instructions
Welcome to Chess 2026! Choose 1 Player to battle an AI opponent, or 2 Players to challenge a friend on the same screen. In 1 Player mode, select your difficulty from Easy to Master — the AI thinks longer and plays smarter at higher levels. You play as White and always move first. Click a piece to select it — green dots show where it can move, and pink highlights show pieces you can capture. Click a highlighted square to make your move. The game supports all standard chess rules including castling, en passant, and pawn promotion. Purple-highlighted squares show the last move made, so you can always see what your opponent just did. Use the Undo button to take back a move, or start fresh with New Game at any time. Checkmate your opponent's King to win!
